Bio

Stacy Schneider, former The Apprentice Contestant, is a veteran TV analyst and commentator, author, and Criminal Defense Trial Attorney defending sex crimes, homicide, violent crime, DNA forensics, gun cases, drugs, domestic violence, financial crimes, and the use of confidential informants in criminal trials. She is an Opinion Contributor at US News and World Report. Stacy is one of the few practicing, female, felony-certified sex crimes defense attorneys in New York City. 

Stacy was a contestant on Season 5 of The Apprentice, and the only criminal defense attorney ever to appear on the show. She provides regular legal commentary for CNN and formerly Fox News and CourtTV. She has covered gavel to gavel Donald Trump’s Manhattan criminal trial, the Sean Combs trial, the Harvey Weinstein trial, the indictment of NYC Mayor Eric Adams, and the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein, as well as provided in depth analysis of the most controversial Supreme Court rulings to date. Several of her appearances and commentary on CNN went viral on Apple iPhone news feed and Yahoo.com. She previously authored Op-Ed pieces on criminal prosecutions for CNN.com’s former digital platform.

Stacy is the winner of the Thurgood Marshall Award for Exemplary Service to the Cause of Justice in the United States, which she received after working on a death penalty case out of Alabama. She is licensed in New York, California, Florida, Washington DC, and Connecticut.

A former television news reporter turned trial attorney, Stacy also appeared on Inside Edition, Fox Business News, and CBS News. She also covered celebrity legal matters and divorces involving Alex Rodriguez, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Sandra Bullock, Stephanie Seymour, Britney Spears, Tiger Woods, Lindsay Lohan, Charlie Sheen, as well as the legal problems of politicians Ari Emmanuel, Rod Blagojevich, Elliot Spitzer, and Senator Mark Sanford.

Stacy is also a divorce and family law attorney who received international attention for once offering to move in with Britney Spears to help defend her child custody battle. She has covered celebrity divorce for national news, media and print, including USA Today and New York Post, she is a former contributor for the Huffington Post. She is the author of the NY Times reviewed book, He Had it Coming: How to Outsmart Your Husband and Win Your Divorce, published by Simon and Schuster and endorsed by Donald Trump and Nancy Grace.

She has spent significant time as a lawyer inside notorious prisons, such as Rikers Island and the infamous Manhattan Detention Center, and has expertise with sentencing, corrections law, parole issues, and prison infractions.
