Mike Yam
Bio
Mike Yam is a nationally recognized sports broadcaster, storyteller, and author. At NFL Network, Yam plays a key role across the network’s coverage, serving as a studio host for pregame and postgame shows, weekly studio programming, and special event coverage. He’s also been featured as a play-by-play voice and contributes regularly across multiple platforms, helping shape the network’s storytelling around the NFL. In addition, he can be heard on SiriusXM Radio, where he leads conversations around both pro and college football. Along with his NFL Network and SXM roles, Yam serves as the lead studio host for The CW’s national college football pregame, halftime, and postgame coverage.
Before joining NFL Network, Yam spent nine years as the lead studio host for Pac-12 Networks, anchoring marquee pre- and postgame coverage for football and basketball. He previously served as a SportsCenter anchor at ESPN, contributing to the network’s NBA, college football, and college basketball programming. From 2004–2012, he was also a regular voice on ESPN Radio, and served as a studio host for NBA TV from 2004–2008.
Outside the studio, Yam is passionate about representation and storytelling. He is the author of Fried Rice and Marinara, a children’s book inspired by his multicultural upbringing and the lack of Asian representation in media. His second book, Mikey on the Mic: A Broadcasting Dream, will be released November 2025.
