Kate Scott is an American sportscaster currently working as the television play-by-play announcer for the Philadelphia 76ers. Scott also calls men’s and women’s soccer for Fox Sports and the NWSL.

Scott is the first female play-by-play broadcaster in Philadelphia history and one of the first women to be the primary play-by-play caller for an NBA team.

Scott attended UC Berkeley, majoring in communications and graduating in 2005. Soon after, Scott joined Metro Networks, where she worked as a reporter, producer, and anchor, providing traffic, news, and sports updates for various Bay Area radio stations, including KNBR-AM, KFOG-FM, and KCBS-AM.

In 2011, Scott was hired as the morning and midday sports anchor at KNBR, the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Golden State Warriors radio flagship. During her time at KNBR, she also served as the television sideline reporter for the San Jose Earthquakes and San Jose Giants, called local high school football, and anchored the 5p, 6p, and 11p Saturday night sportscasts for NBC Bay Area.

In 2016, Scott became the first woman to call an NFL game on the radio en route to joining the Pac-12 Network full-time that fall. While working for the Pac-12, Scott became the first woman to call football for the network. She also anchored, hosted, reported, and provided play-by-play for multiple other sports during her Pac-12 tenure.

On International Women’s Day in March 2020, Scott was part of the first-ever all-women’s broadcast crew for an NHL game in the United States. Scott provided play-by-play alongside Olympic Gold Medal-winning analysts A.J. Mleczko and Kendall Coyne Schofield.

In October 2020, Scott joined KGMZ-FM (95.7 “The Game”) as a co-host of their morning show.

In March 2021, Scott became the first woman play-by-play announcer for the Golden State Warriors alongside analysts Mary Murphy, Kerith Burke, and Chiney Ogwumike.

In June 2021, she became the first woman to call men’s Copa América and Gold Cup soccer matches for Fox Sports.

During the 2020 Summer Olympics (held in July 2021), Scott provided play-by-play for various men’s and women’s basketball games on NBC and its family of networks.

In August 2021, Scott joined analyst Mike Golic Sr. for Learfield's newly launched national game of the week, "College Football Saturday Night," which took the duo to Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and many more storied collegiate football programs. The games aired on over 110+ terrestrial radio stations in the U.S. and streamed live on Facebook and YouTube.

Scott currently resides in Philadelphia with her wife, Nicole, and their rescue pitbull, Piper.
