Bio
Kaitlin Sharkey is a sports anchor/reporter for WGN-TV. She joined the WGN News sports team in June of 2022 and now works as an evening sports anchor and co-anchor of GN Sports. As GNSports' Bears beat reporter, Kaitlin just finished covering her 13th NFL season. Prior to her time at WGN-TV, she spent two years at Fox affiliate WFLD in Chicago.
Kaitlin is a Wisconsin native and attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she earned her degree in journalism. She began her career in television at the CBS affiliate WSAW in Wausau, WI. Her next stops included the ABC affiliate WBAY in Green Bay, followed by WITI FOX6 in Milwaukee, where she was recognized by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association for her work as a sports anchor.
In addition to covering a wide variety of sports, Kaitlin enjoys playing golf and attending golf events, reading, checking out new restaurants, and spending time with her family.
