Alfredo Lomeli
Bio
Alfredo (Freddy) Lomeli is a distinguished special correspondent for Extra. He’s also currently a host for CBS Sports Golazo Network and Telemundo Deportes. He most recently served as a Late Night host for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Freddy served as a host on Telemundo during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which earned a Sports Emmy Award. He also co-hosted "En Casa Con Telemundo" on Telemundo, a daily talk show on the network.
Previously, Freddy was a Sports Anchor for the live ESPN International program NBA Esta Noche, which airs on Saturday nights in Latin America and is available for streaming on the ESPN app in the U.S. He has also been a Spanish-language host for the X Games and contributed to ESPN’s NBA Tonight.
Before his tenure at ESPN, Freddy hosted and produced the five-time Lone Star Emmy Award-winning magazine show Tu Estilo and served as a national correspondent for Despierta America at Univision San Antonio. Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Freddy moved to Texas with his family at the age of 8, where he quickly developed a passion for the entertainment industry.
